Wow this is Fantastic! I love your characters, anime style and color scheme!

Vanilla-Lemon responds:

Hey, thanks! I appreciate it

Tbh this piece kinda creeps me out in a "Ray Bradbury: The Veldt" kinda way (seemingly innocent but with an underlying tone of having a distorted nature). I'm not sure if that was your intention but I really like it.

Not to mention you color, contrast, and shading are so well done. And it makes wonderful use of the negative space. I love that the canvas is blank too. Great job!

Fantastic work, it really does have that old school poster feel, I thought it was really there for a second. The crinkles were a marvelous touch, I had to zoom in on the border just to check if they were real lol.

GioolioDraws responds:

Thank you so much!

First off thank you for including some of the Greats, including Waldo himself. Da Vinci will forever be one of my greatest inspirations, he was an artist and So.Much.More. The "Where's Waldo" theme was such a great concept to use and I loved that you actually put it in a book on a table setting; the darker, more natural tones, are a great contrast to your focus, adds a lot of depth, and makes your focus really POP; plus the pamphlet and pencil are also add a nice balance

Spoiler Alert (for Jaza Search): Are Bob Ross and Jazza pulling a Sistine Chapel because they are both public artists that help everyone develop their skills or just cause it was an awesome idea?

Chant-Grant responds:

Thanks for such a detailed response, I enjoyed reading it! There are so many other great artists out there, including other modern YouTubers—I was sorry to limit them, but am happy enough with the end result!

Spoiler Alert: As for the BR and Jazza Sistine Chapel 'Creation of Adam' pose, my thought process was that BR was 'passing the torch' or 'giving inspiration' to Jazza. So, yes, in a way I chose BR because he was a huge inspiration to millions of fans through the use of modern technology—and Jazza has this in common. And yes, I admit, in a way I chose BR because it was simply a fun idea. :)

This is just awesomeme

FalloutSeekerJr responds:

Thank you very much!!

That is such a great concept and so well portrayed. Honestly makes me think of Steven Universe.

I really enjoyed how this turned out.

Honestly, the shading on the armor and how you draw your focus to the center while still using the rule of thirds are what I like most. Though I am a bit sad you didn't use the mountain range as the artist block.

Somethings you might try to improve on for future pieces is possible to do some studies on color usage and contrast since the pencils on the front line are more defined than the horde of artists and your color palette seems like it could be narrowed down to improve the tone of the piece. (I hope you find this helpful and don't see me as just being a big jerk.)

Here is the channel of a speed paint artist on youtube, that I really enjoy, where I, personally, learned a lot about using color

For real good luck with the contest! This is probably my top fav, though I still hope I win lol.

BrushieD responds:

Thank you for your feedback, it is indeed very helpful!
I am not that good at drawing far away things and perspective, as I mentioned before, this was a very challenging drawing to make ;v;

But thank you again, and you too good luck! <3

I'm pretty excited to see how the final version turns out.

BrushieD responds:

Im already well on my way to being halfway done!
